Do I need a new service panel?

Depending on safety, capacity, and code, you might need a new service panel. If you are remodeling or adding big loads, your existing panel may be undersized or outdated.

What Affects Pricing?


Panel Size

Panels up to 200A are included. Upgrading to 325A costs an additional $1,400.

Gas Main Location

PG&E does not allow panels within 4 feet of the gas main. Panel upgrades necessitate moving the panel to meet this requirement.

Underground Power

Some neighborhoods are limited to 100A. Upgrading to 200A could require expensive digging to increase capacity.
