Get to Know Kevin & Leah
After years of commuting to distant job sites and managing large industrial and commercial projects across California, Kevin Miller founded Alden Electric Co to move his work closer to home.
Together, Kevin and Leah manage the company and have completed notable work, including the addition of 34 rooms and four Casita suites at the Calistoga Motor Lodge, along with several 8,000–11,000 square foot custom homes.
Kevin and Leah bring a shared history of service, hands-on experience, and complementary strengths to the business.
Kevin began his construction career at 19 as a volunteer aid-worker in Ensenada, Mexico, helping build fifty homes, while Leah served as a translator and interviewed local families to determine eligibility for receiving a home.
After returning to California, Kevin completed an electrical apprenticeship in Napa/Solano County and went on to work as a journeyman and a foreman. During his two decades in the Bay Area’s industrial electrical sector, Kevin gained experience across a wide range of complex environments, including large-scale solar farms, the high-profile Trans Bay Cable project, the solar installation on the roof of San Francisco International Airport, and lab work at Genentech.
Before Alden, Leah worked in IT for five years, bringing a technical and systems-focused background that now supports the company’s operations.
Kevin and Leah are empty nesters and enjoy cooking together, travel, and tackling home improvement projects as a team.
